Media Sales Executive Overview:

Due to expansion, Akabo Media are looking to recruit a new member of the commercial team to work within the publications division.

Working from our offices in SE1, Blackfriars Road Southwark, the role will be initially focused on our Logistics Manager & Logistics & Supply Chain publications.

We will consider applicants with or without media or sales background, as you will receive training & mentoring on the job as part of your initial probationary period. Your attitude, desire and personality are the key factors of your future success and career progression.

Media Sales Executive Job Description:

Promote and sell media products and services offered by the employer. Approach potential customers to make sales and maintain excellent relationships with all clients. Work to reach performance & sales quotas and deliver reports to management.

Media Sales Executive Job Duties:

  • Study and understand all facets of the media products and services being offered
  • Approach potential clients through new leads, cold calls, existing relationships, promotional events, or other means
  • Hone and deliver a skilled sales pitch to potential clients by phone in an effort to secure a sale
  • Explain the benefits and potential audience of specific media offerings to potential clients
  • Detail pricing and negotiate costs when necessary
  • Facilitate successful sales by collecting client information and providing order information to the company
  • Add accurate notes to CRM for each client call or meeting
  • Data input of key contacts and company information onto CRM
  • Track every media purchase made to ensure that it is completed accurately and on time
  • Work to maximise sales and meet quotas in the short and long term
  • Maintain excellent relationships with all clients in the executive’s portfolio
  • Attend tradeshows, or participate in industry events or training

Media Sales Executive Details:


Fully employed position

Basic salary up to £20k

Bonus structure for surpassing productivity targets

Excellent commission structure

Monday – Friday 09.00 – 17.30 (1 Hour for lunch)

20 Days holiday + Bank Holidays
