To lead and drive sales and account management functions to implement the strategic commercial objectives for Akabo Media in both the short and longer term. To drive all revenue streams and identify priorities and opportunities in a timely, considered manner. To work closely with the MD in helping to shape the different divisions of the business to maximise the long term, sustainable profitability of Akabo.
· To be directly responsible for Business development strategy
· To manage and lead from the front
· To ensure a culture of unrivalled customer service is delivered across the team.
· To develop and implement an operational sales Strategy in line with the overall brand strategy of the business.
· To assist the MD in being the driving influence of all new business
· To identify new revenue streams to generate sustainable growth year on year.
· To deliver/exceed monthly, quarterly and annual budgeted revenues for the group
· To maintain and grow share of Advertising/Sponsorship revenues
· To measure maintain and grow market shares for Print online and Events
· To maintain and grow yields through a value based selling strategy
· To develop existing commercial team, ensuring kpi’s, performance targets etc are met
· People: Proven ability to motivate and lead a sales team… attract, retain and develop high achievers
· Demonstrate excellent face to face presentation skills
· Demonstrate exceptional time management skills- You will be required to manage your time very effectively across an extensive portfolio of brand extensions.
· A strong negotiator and closer both internally and externally
