Marketing & Events Assistant/Researcher

 

About Akabo Media: Akabo Media produces magazines, websites, exhibitions and conferences primarily for the logistics, supply chain and transport industries.

About the Role: We are currently looking for an intelligent, creative and highly motivated Marketing and Events Assistant/Researcher to join our team in order to work on and expand on the core portfolio of Akabo Media conferences, awards and bespoke events

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Work with our database to target attendees and delegates to our events
  • Using social media (LInkedIn, Twitter, Forums) to identify relevant people
  • Assist in the operation of the events onsite
  • Carry out post-event administration
  • Continuously communicate and update event marketing/sponsorship/operations /sales managers on progress against targets, pipeline and feedback from market
  • Manage the event on the day to ensure the most successful event possible

Key Competencies:

  • High degree of numeracy required
  • Excellent written communication and presentation skills
  • Highly motivated, with an ability to meet goals
  • Desire to learn about and engage with industry trends and challenges
  • Ability to work very closely with wider Akabo Media team

Targeted Performance:

  • Provide marketing with as many new sources as possible for each event
  • Work closely and cooperatively with the sales team to ensure all sponsorship information is accurately and effectively handled
  • Work closely and flexibly with the editorial team to ensure communication, alignment of objectives and strong relationship building
