Business Development Executive

Akabo Media publishes a range of magazines as well as producing conferences, exhibitions and awards in the logistics, supply chain, transport smart cities industries, both nationally and internationally.

Due to a continued expansion programme we are now seeking a sales executive to work with the commercial team on a range of existing and soon to be launched conferences and exhibitions.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experiences sales executive, with knowledge of business to business publishing/events to work across a range of products – both new and established – with a friendly and lively commercial team and company.

Responsibilities

  • To secure sponsorship and exhibition revenues across a portfolio of events
  • Help identify new conference and exhibitions and develop ideas to fruition
  • Develop and maintain sales contacts across industries
  • Maintain accurate CRM data on sales database
  • Work to achieve goals of Akabo Media

The person

  • Minimum of two years sales experience, ideally within events/sponsorship sales
  • B2B experience either print or events
  • Commercially minded, sales driven person
  • Proactive sales professional
  • High call/meeting targets met
  • Excellent telephone manner
